DelDOT Route 52/82 Improvement Plan

The Delaware Department of Transportation recently unveiled a plan to widen Kennett Pike at Rt. 82, adding dedicated left turn lanes, thru lanes and right-turn lanes to the northbound and southbound sides of Kennett Pike.

The plan was developed to improve safety at the intersection, which has been the site of 73 accidents between 2004 and 2008, including two fatalities in an accident last year. Read the Community News article from 3/6/2009.

"I have never been as impressed by the actions of an elected official as I have been with Councilman Bob Weiner. Whatever I ask or request, his response is immediate, even if it's something outside his jurisdiction. Bob always takes action or points me in the right direction."
