Updated Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 12:33 pm

New Castle County is offering prescription discount cards that give a 20 percent savings on virtually all medicines.

The cards are available to everyone, regardless of age, income or existing health coverage. However, they do not provide an additional discount to those who already have discounted drug coverage.

The cards are available in English or Spanish and can be picked up at all New Castle County public libraries starting Friday.

Resident with questions can call the county at 395-5101 or toll free 877- 321-2652 or visit www2.caremark.com/naco for assistance.

"I have never been as impressed by the actions of an elected official as I have been with Councilman Bob Weiner. Whatever I ask or request, his response is immediate, even if it's something outside his jurisdiction. Bob always takes action or points me in the right direction."
