Councilman Bob Weiner selected to represent NACo in nationally broadcast program

On Wednesday October 19, 2005, County Councilman Bob Weiner represented New Castle County and the National Association of Counties (NACo) in a nationally broadcast "web cast" entitled "Homeownership & Comprehensive Neighborhood Revitalization". He was selected to represent NACo because of his service on NACo's Affordable Housing Taskforce , his leadership as NACo's Sustainability Leadership Team Chairman and because of his leadership role in the Claymont Renaissance revitalization initiative.

The entire web cast will be posted to FANNIE MAE's knowledgeplex site in a few days. Here is the link: http://www.knowledgeplex.org/xchat.html

Here is the description of the presentation and a list of the presenters:

Bobby Rayburn, 2004 president, National Association of Home Builders
Gwen Thomas, consumer real estate lending sales executive, Bank of America

"Bob Weiner has done a great job in developing and constantly keeping a watchful eye over the Talley Day County Park and its dog park. I live on Wilson Road directly across the street from the park. I talk to many pet owners who just love the park. Many have told me that it's very relaxing there and they love the fact that their dogs can play together in a secure environment. When Bob walks around the park with his two dogs he stops to say hi to everyone. He certainly deserves credit for a job "well done" and I thank him for that along with so many pet owners. "
