Councilman Bob Weiner selected to represent NACo in nationally broadcast program

On Wednesday October 19, 2005, County Councilman Bob Weiner represented New Castle County and the National Association of Counties (NACo) in a nationally broadcast "web cast" entitled "Homeownership & Comprehensive Neighborhood Revitalization". He was selected to represent NACo because of his service on NACo's Affordable Housing Taskforce , his leadership as NACo's Sustainability Leadership Team Chairman and because of his leadership role in the Claymont Renaissance revitalization initiative.

The entire web cast will be posted to FANNIE MAE's knowledgeplex site in a few days. Here is the link: http://www.knowledgeplex.org/xchat.html

Here is the description of the presentation and a list of the presenters:
Homeownership and Comprehensive Neighborhood Revitalization
Wednesday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. EDT

KnowledgePlex and the National Association of Counties' Center for Sustainable Communities will present an online discussion about the challenges and opportunities for creating quality affordable housing and homeownership opportunities across the country. Bobby Rayburn, 2004 president, National Association of Home Builders
Gwen Thomas, consumer real estate lending sales executive, Bank of America
Robert S. Weiner, Councilman, New Castle County, DE.

"I have never been as impressed by the actions of an elected official as I have been with Councilman Bob Weiner. Whatever I ask or request, his response is immediate, even if it's something outside his jurisdiction. Bob always takes action or points me in the right direction."
